Lakeway Link was founded in 2023 and is equally owned by Wallenius and Greencarrier. Lakeway Link offers a unique sea connection between Poland and Sweden for freight transport. Our RoRo ship M/S Lakeway Express can transport anything that can be packed on a trailer or a mafi, including high and heavy cargo, between Gdynia and Södertälje. In 2027, after the renovation of the Södertälje lock, we will expand our service to also include Västerås. Our premise is simply to offer an efficient and more sustainable alternative to road transport between the continent and central Sweden. Simply put: it’s time to switch from road to sea. As our current CEO is retiring, we are looking for his successor. We know that this role is not for just anyone; we are looking for you who is a curious visionary and wants to be part of a start-up where you can think new, green, and help build one of Sweden's best shipping companies. Here you will develop and shape an organization with the right competencies, ensuring that agreements and contracts with both customers and suppliers comply with transport law. Customers are in Sweden, but you will also drive commercial contacts in Europe.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Five direct reports in Västerås and one in Poland
• Reporting and presenting to the board monthly
• Leading and developing the business and its strategies
• Following the board's guidelines in accordance with the CEO's responsibilities
• Management team work

To succeed in this role, you need:

• A degree in shipping and/or logistics, or documented work experience as a CEO in companies with related operations in transport and logistics
• Several years of experience as a leader
• Experience in shipping and logistics
• Fluency in spoken and written English
